I would say it is an okay option for honeymooners, but Excellence beats this place by a mile. Overall for a girls trip this was disappointing. The other one was under a canopy of flowers so we couldn’t see much. There were two receptions occurring about 15 yards apart. We saw one reception from our beach chairs - from the first dance to the bridesmaid speech. Beautifully decorated but the outdoor reception offers no privacy. The good part of the experience is the wait and activity staff, the bartenders, the rooms were clean, and the hotel was nice. The tractor just couldn’t make a dent in it. There are no inclusive spa treatments at this place so don’t be scammed by their ads. We had to pay $98 for the “inclusive massage” while the non-inclusive massage was $120. I booked this hotel because of the inclusive spa treatment. With our early morning flight, there is no way we would have received our results in time given we had to call during office hours to request our results. We tried to reschedule but the COVID team said we would run the risk of not getting the results on time. We scheduled our excursion with the hostess, but the excursion conflicted with our COVID test. Sadly, other guests had the same experience and the next day we were moved once rooms opened up. We paid for an ocean view room but was initially put in a garden room. Would possibly come back, but more likely would explore other options. This definitely felt like more of a boutique option, but still a large hotel. I also would have loved a bit more emphasis on Mexican food while in Mexico! What’s lacking is fresh food – not sure that I ate many fruits or veggies the whole time I was here, even as sides. The steak house needs a massive revamp in the quality of food (views are great though when you have sunlight). Oddly, the Mexican restaurant is just OK. ĝinner – the Asian restaurant is hands down the best followed by the Italian restaurant. Lunch at the pool is pretty average, but again, fuel for the day Nothing overly delicious and half the time we got something different than what we ordered, but it was fuel. We found room service to be easiest and get the job done. They do try to start selling you as soon as you get there on their vacation club, so be prepared to partake or shut them down several times. Everyone was happy to be there and greet you. We booked an ocean view and sort of had one if we peered around our balcony, but it wasn’t a huge deal. The rooms are not huge, but given that the hotel is less than five years old, they are still in great condition. The hotel offers a shuttle service, however, if you are just two people, it’s a fraction of the price to just jump in a cab. The property is just over an hour from the Cancun airport.
